2002 VERMONT WILDERNESS POLL This telephone survey was conducted by the UVM Center for Rural Studies, under contract with the Vermont Wilderness Association, in the month of February, 2002. The purpose of this study was to identify Vermonters' attitudes toward uses of public land in the state, the focus being upon wilderness. The poll included a random statewide sample of households with registered voters and a second random sample of households with registered voters who live in or near the Green Mountain National Forest.
