Service Learning at the Center for Rural Studies
Research conducted by the Center for Rural Studies provides invaluable, hands-on service learning experience for UVM students across all colleges and departments.
Examples of Recent Service-Learning Projects
PA 395 Evaluation for Decision Making, 2006, students assisted in the evaluation of the Burlington School Food Project
From 2003-2006, approximately 375 students were trained on Vermonter Poll research and methodology and completed four hours and a reflection

An average of 20 students travel to Honduras on an annual basis to carry out service-learning projects with Professor Daniel Baker of CDAE
Michael Moser, Research Project Specialist at CRS and CDAE graduate, took 10 UVM students in 2006 to Honduras for service learning projects for Alternative Spring Break.
