(1) Food Stamp (%): The percentage of children 6 through 17 in the school district who live with families that receive food stamps. The percentage is calculated by dividing the number of children who live with families that receive food stamps by the long-term average daily membership (LT ADM) for that school year. A rank within the state is also shown. Percentages for schools with multiple sending schools are calculated from the aggregate of all sending towns. A rank of 1 is HIGH poverty and a rank of 315 is LOW poverty.

(2) Free and Reduced Lunch (%): The proportion of children in each school who receive free or reduced lunch assistance. This percentage is calculated by dividing the number of children who are eligible by the enrollment for that school year.

Considerations: Due to social and cultural
factors many high school students who are eligible do not enroll in the
program.
