Coffee Processing ProjectLocation: La Esperanza Project Design Document This project will provide technical assistance to groups of women who live in "Zonas Cafetaleras" (coffee growing areas). The project will be carried out with the Foundation for the Development of Coffee Growers' Communities. These coffee growers are small scale, often impoverished people who produce coffee in small quantities and are forced to sell their coffee through middle-men. The growers' families are trying to launch small businesses to reduce their dependency on intermediaries and minimize market risks. Small scale coffee roasting businesses in Vermont would be ideal candidates for this project. Volunteer(s): Activity: Dates: Trip Report |
