Salaries Paid to High Ranking Officials
1933 to 1965
Table VII (Chapter 10) shows the steady increase in total sums paid to
officials as well as the limitation on the salaries that could be given
to other officials in state government. For example, a maximum and minimum
salary for the commissioner of taxes was established by statute.
