1947 Pay Scale, Classes 1 Through 10
Table XI (Chapter 10) shows the pay scales for various grades of employees
as established by a survey done in 1947. The Vermont State Employees Association,
the personnel board and each governor strove for a more equitable salary
structure using this survey. This system, however, proved to be inadequate
and was superseded in 1953 by a new one.
