    Since 1990, the Center for Rural Studies at the University of Vermont has conducted 16, statewide polls of Vermont residents (1990, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008). The poll is a unique opportunity for researchers, policy makers, social advocates, and citizens to examine changes in public opinion regarding contemporary, and often controversial issues in the public arena.
